Yes. Hertz Labs is designed to mix with other audio apps — start your music in Spotify, Apple Music, or any other app, then open Hertz Labs. Both will play simultaneously. The audio sessions mix automatically.

Free tier audio stops when the app is minimised or the screen is locked. Premium users can enable "Continue playing when minimised" in the Background Audio tab to maintain playback.

The AI Guide lets you describe how you want to feel (e.g. "help me focus for a coding session") and suggests frequency settings tailored to that goal. Suggestions are generated by Google Gemini and are for personal wellness only — not medical advice.

Any stereo headphones or earphones work. True stereo separation is required for the binaural effect — speakers produce monaural output. Over-ear headphones with good channel isolation produce the strongest effect. Wireless earbuds work well provided they maintain stereo separation.

Refunds are processed by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find your Hertz Labs purchase, and select "Request a Refund."
